AM Module III – Get ready for AM production

SUPERSCAN IV 20 SOLAR – Laser processing for large M12 wafers
The production of solar wafers is optimized for speed and high throughput. This is why also the size of the wafers increased over time. However, the growth was limited by the dynamics and field size of laser scanning systems, which are important for an efficient production process.
To solve exactly this issue, we developed our SUPERSCAN IV 20 SOLAR. Thus, we can now provide a solution that enables the next step to M12-size wafers, without affecting spot size or scan speed.
The key benefits:
- Field size suitable for M12 wafers thanks to an individually designed focusing lens
- Spot size similar to “standard laser scribing” solutions due to a larger beam diameter at the scan head entry
- Highest production speed with a scanning speed of 200rad/s

AXIALSCAN FIBER 20/30 RD - High Productivity for your battery & fuel cell production
Laser welding and cutting is an important process step in modern production of batteries, fuel cells and other parts in electric vehicles. But the requirements become more and more challenging e.g. in thin sheet welding, where precise and reliable focus control is critical for a stable process.
With our new AXIALSCAN FIBER 20/30 RD, we tackle exactly this challenge. It expands the established AXIALSCAN FIBER series with our new RAYvolution Drive technology. This new focus shifter allows to move the z-position of your focus as fast as in xy-direction. And ensuring the desired focus position in all dimensions offers you full control over your process at any time.

- Large, flexible processing field sizes from 250 x 250 mm² to 850 x 850 mm²

RAYGUIDE MATCH - Quality assurance for your laser application with automatic laser path alignment
We are excited to introduce the latest feature of our RAYGUIDE software, our position recognition plugin MATCH. The tool takes images of representative marks of the workpiece with a camera attached to the beam deflection unit. In these images, the software automatically detects features like edges, holes or other pre-defined markers.
With this information, MATCH then adapts the laser process by adjusting the scan pattern and its position according to the measured data.
In other words, MATCH is our “Click & Teach on Autopilot”!
The key benefits:
- Detection and Re-adjusting of the position with an accuracy better than e.g. 10µm (for f-254 F-Theta) or 50µm in a 300 x 300 mm²field size
- Easy to use as it is seamlessly integrated into our RAYGUIDE software and the RAYLASE product portfolio
- Helps to automize production processes with critical component positioning tolerances
- In combination with our AXIALSCAN FIBER, the detection mark can even vary in focus position from the focus position of the laser path

Scan Field Calibrator 600 - Precise and reproducible laser production
If you produce accurate products with a laser system, you know that precise and repeated machine calibration is crucial for a stable process. And you know how elaborate and time-consuming such a calibration process can be.
For this challenge, we developed our Scan Field Calibrator SFC-600 that provides a fast and precise calibration of your scan system in xy- and z-direction. The complete process is automated and controlled by one software, which eliminates interfaces and makes the calibration process almost failsafe.
The key benefits:
- Calibrates different field sizes between 100 x100 mm² to 600 x 600 mm² with a high correction accuracy of Ø ±15 µm
- Offers multi-field calibration for combined processing fields
- Includes z calibration for pre focusing deflection units
- Time savings of up to 95% compared to manual scan system calibration
